Playlist of the Week: Summer in the Southern Hemisphere

by: Nicola Willsmore

Summer is here in Australia, and the hot weather came in quite quickly, so what better time to pull out the summer playlists?! I, personally like to listen to quite upbeat, lighter songs over the summer because they make me feel happy and full of energy to make the most out of the 2 months I have off of school. Usually I listen to a lot of the same songs over the summer but this year I’ve decided to start from scratch.

1. It’s Nice to Be Alive – Ball Park Music
2. Riptide – Vance Joy
3. Melt (feat. Kilo Kish) – Chet Faker
4. Bring Night – Sia*
5. In the Aeroplane Over the Sea – Neutral Milk Hotel
6. Come a Little Closer – Cage the Elephant
7. Trying to Be Cool – Phoenix
8. Uptown Funk – Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars
9. Kids – MGMT
10. Won’t Be Long – The Hives
11. Second Chance – Peter Bjorn and John
12. Jump Into The Fog – The Wombats
13. Dakota – Stereophonics

Listen to this and other playlists here.
